Biography

 K.L Broad has a BA in Psychology and Women's Studies from University of   
 California at Santa Cruz and a MA and PhD in Sociology (1998) from 
 Washington State University. Dr. Broad is currently an Associate Professor, 
 jointly-appointed with the Department of Sociology and the Center for 
 Women's Studies and Gender Research at the University of Florida. In general, 
 Dr. Broad's work focuses on the interpretive and identity work associated with 
 gender, sexuality and social movements (especially LGBTQ movements in the 
 US).

Courses Typically taught: Sociology of Gender; Qualitative Methods; Gender, Sexuality and Social Movements; Sexuality Studies; Proseminar in Women's and Gender Studies.
